Electrical compliance paperwork in NSW

NSW sparkies issue a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW) when installation work is finished, lodged through the BCNSW eCert portal. Registered cablers also give customers ACMA cabling advice on telecommunications jobs. Building Commission NSW sets the rules for electrical certificates in NSW.

Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW)
Licensed NSW electricians and contractors certify the installation when the work and testing are done. Since 1 July 2026 the CCEW is lodged through the BCNSW eCert portal, and handwritten and PDF CCEWs are no longer accepted. Tradie Forms does not provide or lodge the current CCEW.
ACMA TCA1 Attach A (customer cabling advice)
ACMA-registered cablers and sparkies doing telecommunications work give the customer written cabling advice when the job is finished. Hand a copy to the customer and your employer if applicable. Tradie Forms does not lodge the form with the ACMA.
ACMA TCA2 (outstanding cabling matters)
Use TCA2 when you find non-compliant pre-existing cabling during telecommunications work and need to alert the customer or building manager. Give a copy to the customer or building manager and keep one for your records. Tradie Forms does not lodge the form with the ACMA.
