The CCEW should be done at the switchboard, not after dinner
What slows down NSW electrical compliance today.
CCEW fields easy to miss
Installation, tester, and compliance sections hide in PDF tabs, errors show up when the customer or inspector reviews the form.
Licence and NMI details re-typed
Contractor licence, customer address, and installation details should carry over from the last NSW job.
PDF tools that hate mobile
Desktop editors and generic PDF apps are the wrong tool at the switchboard or in the ute.

Guided electrical forms keep tests, declarations, signatures, and customer details in a clear flow.
Electrical compliance paperwork in NSW
NSW sparkies issue a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW) when installation work is finished. Registered cablers also give customers ACMA cabling advice on telecommunications jobs. Building Commission NSW sets the rules for electrical certificates in NSW.
- Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW)
- Licensed NSW electricians and contractors complete the CCEW when installation work and testing are done. Give a copy to the customer and keep one with the job record. Lodgement with Building Commission NSW and the network operator is your responsibility. Tradie Forms does not lodge the certificate for you.
- ACMA TCA1 Attach A (customer cabling advice)
- ACMA-registered cablers and sparkies doing telecommunications work give the customer written cabling advice when the job is finished. Hand a copy to the customer and your employer if applicable. Tradie Forms does not lodge the form with the ACMA.
- ACMA TCA2 (outstanding cabling matters)
- Use TCA2 when you find non-compliant pre-existing cabling during telecommunications work and need to alert the customer or building manager. Give a copy to the customer or building manager and keep one for your records. Tradie Forms does not lodge the form with the ACMA.
Official guidance: Building Commission NSW (CCEW). Tradie Forms is not affiliated with the regulator named above.
