Is the generated PDF an official government form?

Where we support a compliance template, your entries map onto the official PDF layout. Operational forms follow the layout we ship for that template. Always check everything before you submit to Building Commission NSW, council, a principal, or a customer. Tradie Forms is not affiliated with any government agency.

What is Tradie Forms?

Australian trade forms you fill in online. Certs, SWMS, checklists, and job records. Fill them in on the job, then download PDFs on the layout customers, councils, and regulators expect.

Which trades and states do you cover?

We build for all trades and every state and territory. The public library is sorted by state, trade, and form type, with electrical, plumbing, gas, fire safety, building, pest control, and cabling templates.

Is this only for compliance certificates?

No. Tradie Forms covers the paperwork a trade business runs every day, including SWMS, toolbox talks, checklists, service records, and handover records, alongside compliance certificates. Custom company forms can be mapped from your PDF.

Can I get a custom form for my business?

Yes. Log in and request a custom template from the templates page. We quote a one-off build fee after review, map your PDF into an online form, and turn it on for your workspace. A paid plan keeps it available while you use it.

How do integrations work?

Connect ServiceM8, Fergus, or Xero securely, pick a job, contact, or project, and pull details into supported form fields. When enabled, completed PDFs can attach back to the job card or contact.

What happens if I lose signal on site?

Keep filling. Your answers save locally on that device as a guest or on Free, so a dropout in a roof space or a basement does not cost you the form. Cloud drafts and picking the form back up on another device need a connection and a Solo or Team plan.

Can the customer sign it on my phone?

Yes. Templates with signature fields let you and the customer sign on the screen with a finger or a stylus, and the signature lands on the PDF where it belongs. No printing, no scanning back at the office.

Where do my licence number and customer details end up?

In your account, so your next form starts half filled. We do not sell personal information and we do not use your form content for targeted advertising. You choose whether completed forms and drafts are stored, and you can delete them. Full detail is in our privacy policy.

What if the official form changes?

We maintain the templates. When a regulator updates a form we remap it, so the version you open is the current one. You do not have to go hunting for the latest PDF.

Do I need to set anything up before my first form?
