Building and site safety paperwork in NSW

NSW builders and site supervisors keep a Housing Industry Site Safety Pack (HIISP) on residential construction sites. SafeWork NSW also requires asbestos control plans and clearance certificates for licensed removal work. These forms stay on site in the safety file.

HIISP site pack setup (Forms 01 to 03)
Record organisation details, roles and responsibilities, and WHS policy sign-off when you start a new site using the HIISP documentation set. The PCBU or site manager completes these forms and keeps them in the site safety file. Tradie Forms does not lodge them with a regulator.
HIISP site safety records (Forms 04 to 10)
Walk the site with a risk assessment, write SWMS for high risk tasks, and keep toolbox talk, training, test and tag, hazardous chemicals, and incident records current. Non-friable asbestos clearance (SW08272)
A competent person issues this visual clearance certificate after licensed non-friable asbestos removal work is complete. Give copies to the client and keep one with the removal job records. Use the separate SafeWork NSW form if your clearance requires air monitoring. Tradie Forms does not lodge the certificate for you.
Class B asbestos removal control plan
Licensed asbestos removalists prepare this control plan before starting Class B non-friable asbestos removal work in NSW. Keep a copy with your job records and make it available to workers and parties who need access before work starts. Tradie Forms does not lodge the plan for you.
