Record-checking tips for an existing draft from the retired Tradie Forms NSW CCEW
Practical tips for capturing the job accurately, then completing the current NSW CCEW in BCNSW eCert.
Use these tips only when checking a saved draft from the retired Tradie Forms CCEW. Complete all new CCEWs directly in the BCNSW eCert portal.
Capture the CCEW details while you are still on site. This reduces the chance of forgetting crucial details and saves a return trip for missing readings or addresses.
Check the full draft against your job records before entering the current details in eCert:
If the same person installed and tested, use Same as installer on the Tester section only when that person genuinely performed both roles.
When installer and tester differ:
See Customer and Installation.
Select installation type and work carried out options that match the actual job. These drive what else the form requires (e.g. metering rows, non-compliance reference).
Document each equipment category you worked on with accurate ratings, quantities, and particulars. Include model numbers for major items.
Complete tests in the field, then record results on the Test report section before certification. Use Check All only when every listed test was actually performed.
Review the declaration shown in eCert and make it only after checking every section against the job.
Save the eCert confirmation or reference with the job record so you can retrieve the submitted CCEW later.
CCEW submissions are official records. Follow the current NSW record-keeping requirements and back up your job evidence and eCert confirmation.
