ServiceM8 integration

Connect ServiceM8 and import job details into form fields while you fill certificates

Import job numbers, site addresses, and customer details from ServiceM8 into Tradie Forms fields — without re-typing on site.

Requirements

  • Pro subscription (solo or team workspace)
  • A ServiceM8 account

Connect ServiceM8

  1. Open Integrations in the app sidebar.
  2. Choose ServiceM8.
  3. Select the permissions you want (import, schedule, staff, notes, your business details, PDF uploads).
  4. Select Connect with ServiceM8, sign in, and approve access in ServiceM8.

Your connection is saved for your personal workspace, or for your team when you have a business selected. On a team account, only team admins can connect or change ServiceM8 permissions.

Permissions you can choose

  • Import job and customer details — job numbers, site addresses, site and billing contacts, customer company fields, and job category (required for import).
  • Job schedule — scheduled visit start and end from the job diary.
  • Assigned technician — staff name and contact details for the job.
  • Job notes — notes from the job card for remarks or access instructions.
  • Your business details — your company name, email, and ABN for provider sections in supported forms.
  • Upload PDFs to job cards — attach completed PDFs back to ServiceM8 jobs (the only write permission we request).

To add or change permissions later, update the toggles on the ServiceM8 integration page and select Reconnect ServiceM8. ServiceM8 usually adds permissions when you reconnect. To remove a permission, disconnect and connect again with fewer toggles selected.

Import into a form field

While filling a form (signed in, on Pro):

  1. Find the link icon beside a text or date field.
  2. Choose your integration (ServiceM8 when connected).
  3. Search or pick a job (by job number, address, or from recent active jobs).
  4. Tap the field you want — job address, site contact phone, billing email, assigned technician, job notes, your business ABN, and more.

Supported forms today include NSW CCEW and ACMA TCA1 Attach A on customer and site fields.

The value replaces the current field contents.

Your last selected job is remembered for the browser session so you can fill many fields on the same certificate quickly.

Disconnect

On the ServiceM8 integration page, use Disconnect. Team admins disconnect for the whole team workspace.

Upload PDFs to job cards

Turn on Upload PDFs to job cards when you connect or reconnect. After that, you can enable or disable PDF uploads on download without reconnecting.

When PDF uploads are enabled:

  1. While filling a form — if you imported at least one field from ServiceM8 this session, downloading the PDF can also attach it to that job (you confirm each time).
  2. From Completed forms — use Send to ServiceM8 to pick a job and attach the PDF. With PDF audit trail (Team), the stored copy is used; otherwise the app regenerates the PDF from saved form data first.
