Crane Pre-start

Check registration, logbooks, maintenance, manuals, load charts, the pre-start check, compliance plate, and crane condition. Use comments to record any action needed.

Check evidence rather than relying on a verbal answer. Record the missing document, defect or follow-up action in the comments.

Pre-job Planning

Check the crew induction, consultation, load path, site assessment, SWMS, competent people, crane selection, and communication of the safe system of work.

Make sure the selected crane and lifting method match the load, radius, ground conditions and work area.

Site Set-Up and Equipment

Check crane standing, powerlines, underground services, engineering advice, wind, exclusion zones, and lifting equipment before the lift begins.

Recheck site conditions if weather, ground, access, load or nearby work changes.

After download

2. Resolve or control recorded issues before the crane activity.
3. Brief the people involved on the lift plan, SWMS, exclusion zones and communication method.
