Tradie Forms

Record an EV charger installation, protection, tests, customer handover, and signatures in one commissioning PDF aligned with AS/NZS 3000.

Open this form

The EV Charger Commissioning Record keeps the charger, circuit protection, commissioning checks, readings, handover, and signatures in one PDF.

This is a Tradie Forms designed record. It is not a certificate of electrical safety and does not choose the correct protection for the installation.

Open the EV Charger Commissioning Record when the charger is ready for final testing.

Check the charger instructions and current requirements for the job. Complete the electrical compliance certificate required where the work was done.

Before you start

  • Have the charger make, model, serial, rating, and installation instructions ready.
  • Confirm the supply phases, circuit protection, cable size, RCD type, and load-management setup.
  • Have your test equipment and a vehicle or suitable test adapter ready.
  • Confirm the app, warranty, isolation, and load-management information to hand over.

Installer

Add the business and installer details shown at the top of the record. Business and installer names are required. Add the ABN, electrical licence, phone, and optional accreditation number where relevant.

The optional logo appears at the top right of the PDF. Save this section on Solo or Team to prefill it next time.

Client and Site

Enter the client and commissioning date. Add a contact and job reference, then search the Site Address to fill the address, suburb, state, and postcode together.

System

  • Record the charger make, model, serial, rating, and exact install location.
  • Choose Single phase or Three phase.
  • Add the circuit protection and cable size.
  • Choose the RCD type fitted after checking the charger's built-in DC fault protection.
  • Choose None, Static limit, or Dynamic load management.

Create one record per charger on a multi-charger site.

Commissioning Checklist

Answer all 10 checks with Yes, No, or N/A.

  • Use Yes when the item was completed and verified.
  • Use No when the item was not met. Add a short note.
  • Use N/A only where the item does not apply, such as load management on a charger without it.

The form records the protection and setup you assessed. It does not validate the design.

Tests and Readings

Record:

  • earth fault loop impedance;
  • RCD trip time;
  • voltage at the charger; and
  • charge test draw during the commissioning session.

Use the units shown by your test equipment so the finished PDF is clear.

Handover

Tick the instructions and documents provided. Confirm whether the customer was briefed and add notes for any follow-up.

The checklist covers operating instructions, app setup, warranty documents, isolation, and load-management behaviour.

Declaration and Signatures

Add the installer name, date, and signature. These are required before download.

The customer name and signature are optional. Capture the signature on site, or send the PDF with a share link for later signing.

Before download

  • Check the charger identity, install location, circuit, cable, RCD, and load-management details.
  • Answer all 10 checks and add a note for every No.
  • Confirm the four measured readings use clear units.
  • Check the handover answers match what the customer received.
  • Add the installer name, date, and signature.
  • Preview the finished PDF.

After download

Give the PDF to the customer and keep a copy with the job, warranty records, test results, and the electrical compliance certificate required where the work was done.
