ACMA

Fill ACMA TCA1 customer cabling advice on site and download the finished PDF on site.

Open this form

The TCA1 Attach A is the ACMA-approved telecommunications customer cabling advice form. A registered cabler who performed or supervised the work can use it to certify the completed cabling and give the required copies.

Open the TCA1 form when the job and registration details are ready.

ACMA also allows a certification statement in another format if it contains the required details. This Tradie Forms template produces the official TCA1 layout dated August 2021.

Before you start

  • Have your cabler registration number and expiry date handy.
  • Know the work description and where the job was done (room, floor, building, and so on).
  • You will need customer contact details for the customer copy.
  • Have your employer details if you work for one.
  • Check the current ACMA cabling advice requirements.

Registered Cabling Provider

Your details as the registered cabler who did the work. Use the same spelling and registration details you use for cabling records.

Required to download

Provider name and registration, work description, customer name, printed name, date, and signature.

Saved details

Save your provider details on Solo or Team so you can drop them in on every job.

Provider fields

  • Surname and Given Names - as shown on your cabler registration.
  • Work Phone - landline with area code, split into two fields on the PDF.
  • Mobile - optional but useful for follow-up.
  • Email - optional contact for the customer or employer.
  • Registration Number and Expiry Date - your current cabler registration details.
  • Address - your business or postal address.

Employer (if Applicable)

Fill this in when you have an employer or contractor that must receive a copy. Leave it blank only when it does not apply.

  • Company Name - trading or legal name of your employer.
  • Work Phone, Mobile, and Email - employer contact details.
  • Address - employer business address when it differs from yours.

Description of Work

Describe what cabling work you completed and where it was done. This is the section the customer will read when they check what the advice covers.

  • Work Description - be specific about the type and location of the work. Include rooms, floors, sections, cable or outlet details, and the testing basis where useful. The PDF has seven lines, so check the preview for fit.
  • Include supervision details when a trainee or apprentice did part of the work under your oversight.
  • Mention location inside the building (comms room, level, tenancy) so the advice matches the site.

Customer Details

Who receives the cabling advice. Use address search on Solo or Team to fill street, suburb, and postcode quickly, or type the address manually.

Required fields

Name is required for the download. Complete the other customer details so the form can be handed over and traced to the right job.

Job system import

When ServiceM8, Fergus, or Xero is connected, import customer name, phone, email, and address from supported jobs, contacts, or projects.

  • Name - customer or site contact.
  • Home Phone and Mobile - at least one phone helps on site.
  • Email - for sending the completed advice.
  • Address - customer postal or site address as required for your records.

Certification

Sign and date the compliance declaration.

  • Signature - draw or upload your signature. Required before download.
  • Print Full Name - required. Use the name of the registered cabler making the declaration.
  • Date - use Today or Yesterday shortcuts when the job finished recently. Cannot be in the future.

Before download

  • Check the provider name, contact details, registration number, and expiry.
  • Confirm the employer section is complete when it applies.
  • Make sure the work description identifies what was done, where, and any supervision.
  • Check the customer details.
  • Read the certification statement before signing.
  • Check the PDF preview, including all seven work-description lines.

After download

Give the signed form to the customer and your employer or contractor when applicable. Keep your copy for at least 12 months. ACMA can ask to see it.

ACMA says the certification statement must be prepared as soon as practicable after finishing the work. Check the current ACMA instructions, including the limited exemption for small cabling tasks.

For a complete on-site workflow, read ACMA TCA1 cabling advice: finish the form on site.

Tradie Forms is not affiliated with the ACMA.
