Since 1 July 2026, BCNSW eCert is the mandatory submission channel for NSW CCEWs.

  <Accordion title="Does Tradie Forms support the new CCEW or eCert lodgement?" icon="hugeicons:alert-circle">
    **No.** The old Tradie Forms CCEW is retired. The new CCEW and direct BCNSW lodgement are not currently available in Tradie Forms.

  <Accordion title="Can I download or submit a CCEW from Tradie Forms?" icon="hugeicons:file-download">
    **No.** PDF download is retired. You can review an existing Tradie Forms draft, but you must enter and submit the current CCEW through [BCNSW eCert](https://www.nsw.gov.au/housing-and-construction/compliance-and-regulation/ecert-portal).

  <Accordion title="How soon must I submit the CCEW?" icon="hugeicons:clock">
    The person who performed the safety and compliance tests must submit it as soon as possible and no later than **seven days** after completing the tests.

  <Accordion title="Who receives a copy?" icon="hugeicons:mail">
    The tester submits the CCEW to Building Commission NSW. Based on the certificate details, eCert may also send copies to the relevant electricity distributor, the customer, and the electrician's employer or principal contractor. Check all recipient details before submitting.

  <Accordion title="Why is a section still incomplete?" icon="hugeicons:alert-circle">
    Sections track **required fields** and extra rules, for example at least one installation type, work type, or test item. Open the section, fix highlighted errors, then select **Check form**.

  <Accordion title="Can customer and installation addresses differ?" icon="hugeicons:map-pin">
    **Yes.** Customer is the owner or client; **Installation** is where the electrical work was done. Use **address search** (Solo) on each block as needed.

  <Accordion title="Can the tester be the same person as the installer?" icon="hugeicons:user-check">
    **Yes, when one person genuinely did both roles.** On the Tester section, enable **Same as installer** to copy the legacy draft details, then verify the roles in eCert.

  <Accordion title="How does NSW licence search work?" icon="hugeicons:search">
    * Requires **Solo** (or Team) and sign-in.
    * Open **Installer** or **Tester**, tap **Search** on the licence area, enter a licence number or name, and pick a result.
    * Always confirm details match the person on site. The register can lag renewals.
